KeywordSpy is appropriate for most Internet Market research companies. I would not suggest it for a corporate marketing department unless it's a company with a very larger budget. This is also not a tool for small freelancers even though there is a free option, to get the best benefit of KeywordSpy it's best to use most of its features and options and this can get pricey.
SurferSEO is excellent if you want to optimize your SEO content using AI to find the right word count, keyword frequency, FAQs, and headings to use in your content. It also has a great audit feature to analyze existing content and identify any areas of improvement to be made. For keyword research and AI writing, it still isn't as feature-rich as other software, but the developers are constantly upgrading and adding new features - over time I am confident that SurferSEO will become the only SEO software that anyone needs.
Have a pricing option that is based on the number of content editors and audits that don't expire - as well as monthly/yearly subscription options.
The keyword research tool - isn't as advanced as SEMRush or Ahrefs, and I am not completely confident with the keyword difficulty score for each keyword.
The AI writing assistant isn't as good as other options such as Jasper - although it has just received a major update (which I haven't used yet).
Most SEO and market research tools offer what KeywordSpy has but are not as detailed and in one place. Consequently, where you can do everything at KeywordSpy, with other tools you find you have to purchase multiple tools or subscriptions from different providers which also don't integrate with each other. KeywordSpy makes your research easier and more efficient.
Frase gives a lot of content to use, but it doesn't give you the factors you need to rank. This is ultimately why we use SurferSEO over any other editor tool that is out there. The analytics are number one to the entire space.
