Mailchimp is the email marketing and marketing automation platform. Most email marketing platforms tell you how your campaigns perform, but Mailchimp goes a step beyond and tells you why by analyzing the data from half a billion emails sent through the platform every day to offer personalized recommendations for improving content, targeting, automations, and driving revenue using emails
Mailchimp was a good entry-level platform for us for a few years. But when we decided to scale up our e-commerce, we needed something more sophisticated. Mailchimp has a very good UX but when they split with Shopify, it got annoying to do the workarounds and we lost data, like …
Both the Mailchimp integration and overall user experience are seriously lacking. Mailchimp's interface is clunky and hard to use, it does not provide strong ease of use. Klaviyo's interface is easy to use and has everything laid out exactly how you would expect it to be. We …
There's really no competition. Mailchimp is a great starter platform, but when you get to a certain level, it's just not robust enough to get everything you need. Klaviyo has increased our ROI so much and has allowed us to capture so much revenue that we were likely losing out …
We recommend Klaviyo over Mailchimp for our clients because Klaviyo offers more advanced features and integrations. The overall user experience is better in Klaviyo, as well as the email automation features and A/B testing.
While Mailchimp was easy to use, Klaviyo allowed much more customization and flexibility. Klaviyo integrated with all of our apps through Shopify, so it was really a no-brainer when it came down to deciding. The ease of setting up a drip campaign and segmenting the customer …
I haven't used Mailchimp in years so the platform and offerings may be more competitive with Klaviyo now. However, I do believe that Klaviyo offers better integrations, reporting, WYSIWYG editor, and segmentations than Mailchimp. Attentive was great, but it was really expensive …
Klaviyo is by far the most well-rounded email tool I have used. It is on par with Mailchimp is ease of email design, but far better when it comes to analytics, flows, and segmentation. We knew that as we grew, we risked alienating our audience amid we didn’t create a more …
Klaviyo is better thank Mailchimp but not as good as Drip. We use Klaviyo currently because the decision was made by management to move form Drip to Klaviyo.
Klaviyo is better in almost every way. From ease of use, to user experience, analytics, you name it. Klaviyo comes out on top in every comparison and we (I) will continue to use Klaviyo until another platform proves to be superior. Until then, Klaviyo is the best solution for …
We have used various other platforms besides Klaviyo, but Klaviyo is really the only one, in my experience, that has it all. Almost anything you need to do in order to maximize the customer experience, revenue, and customer participation with whatever the brand puts out, …
When we were selecting our email marketing platform, we weight a variety of options and factors. Klaviyo's e-commerce related abilities and features put it a step above the rest. It's very user-friendly without being overly simplistic. The price also compared favorably to other …
We started our SMS program via Klaviyo and switched to Attentive. Attentive is definitely superior to Klaviyo in SMS marketing and their overall BRB strategy. Their SMS program is far more robust and has the capability to integrate with Zendesk. They also designate account reps …
I have used several platforms and by far the one with the most design features is Klaviyo. It lets you edit both desktop and mobile versions which is a must considering most people look at their emails on their phones. It is also great at segmenting and creating flows. I do …
Klaviyo's focus on eCommerce via integration, data-based segmentation, automation and easily-deployed collector and campaign tools, along with their ever-growing expansion into SMS, ample documentation and service, makes them the better choice for those who's business revenues …
It's all-around better. I thought mail chimp was better because it was "cuter" and I thought that translated too easily. But, Klaviyo gives me all of the tools I think I could ever need but they don't seem to get in the way when I don't need them at the stage we're at now.
Klaviyo has it all - a lot of the other platforms that I have used do not have all of the following: competent email and SMS sending, easy-to-navigate flow builders, accurate revenue and general metric reporting, and representatives who care and reach out to make sure we are …
We have used several email marketing tools. Without a doubt a big plus to give to Mailchimp is how easy it is to use and how great their free features are. As the business grew, we continued using Mailchimp, but were so let down by how their pricing works, how barebones the …
Mailchimp is the most cost effective solution. The ease of use, the look of the emails, the options Mailchimp gives you, and the price of it all. There is no reason you should go with iContact or Constant Contact when Mailchimp is an option. They are just too easy to use and …
Klaviyo has better sophistication than Mailchimp and better deliverability, but it easily integrates with Shopify (which is huge because mailchimp doesn't). However, Klaviyo is much more expensive than Mailchimp. Hard to tell if the better sophistication and deliverability …
I'll be choosing Klaviyo for the deep eCommerce interaction and product integrations, great reporting, and comparable pricing model. Mailchimp is in my experience more versatile and developed than Zoho, Constant Contact, or HubSpot offerings--more modern and more …
Generally, Mailchimp is substantially cheaper for smaller companies compared to the Enterprise level email marketing systems. Additionally, Mailchimp offers the agency-focused advantages of programs like Campaign Monitor, but with an easier billing system and lower monthly …
Klaviyo is what I left Mailchimp for. It does everything Mailchimp can do but better. They go a lot deeper with automation as well as how they segment and target their customers. Klaviyo does cost quite a bit more money though, so you do pay for what you get. Overall, Mailchimp …
Mailchimp in my opinion is way better at educating its users better than Klavyio. Additionally, Mailchimp has a better user interface and Klavyio makes it trickier than it should be making a campaign. The point is not to confuse users and make it easier to meet deadlines. …
We prefer Mailchimp as opposed to HubSpot because we were not using all of the features HubSpot offered. Nutshell is by far the easiest to use, especially when it comes to creating different tags and segments. We only use Mailchimp for one-off emails and think it does a good …
Mailchimp is easy to use for the customer who doesn't have much technical knowledge. Also, the cost of Mailchimp is less compared to other email marketing tools.
Our company actually uses a couple different pieces of email marketing software, as different verticals are different sizes and have different needs. Mailchimp is used by one of our smaller divisions since we don't need anything too fancy and want to keep overhead costs low. …
Mailchimp focuses on email and they do a good job overall compared to the competition. The platform is easy to use and makes sending emails a breeze. If you need something more robust then I would recommend Marketo as you can do anything you can imagine. However, you will need …
Mailchimp is a great tool for users of all business types and technical knowledge. However, there came a time where we needed more flexible flow, user, and activity management. Because of this, we will be migrating away from Mailchimp, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to …
Klaviyo may not be the best fit for everyone. It can be relatively expensive compared to other email marketing platforms, so it might not be ideal for small businesses with limited budgets. Additionally, the reporting features could be more advanced for those who require more detailed analytics.
Mailchimp is well suited to companies / individuals who want to capture emails via form on their website or a link in an email. Mailchimp is relatively easy to set up and manage. They also have decent reporting tools and segregation tools. The email visual builder is fairly decent as well. Overall, it's a great 'first' lead capture tool while you're still figuring out what you really need.
Email automation that nurtured new prospects with education and promotion content.
List segmentation. We could segment our list by behavior, purchase history and by demographics. This gave us more views into the customer segmentation.
Promotion emails. the high delivery rate of Flash sales, discounts, and promotions that drove sales
SMS messaging. We could time SMS messaging to be aligned with email promotion to give a more omni marketing approach to CRM
Reporting. Klavio provided excellent reporting by campaign and marketing period. It was able to track open rate, CTR, conversion and revenue.
Creative Management. Klavio allowed us to store graphics from previous campaigns and use them in future marketing efforts
Campaign Builder. the email builder mechanism is outstanding allowing for graphic, text, shapes and images all to be incorporated in HTML emails
Testing. The AB testing function allowed for campaign optimization
Super easy integration to Pipedrive via Zapier, and I'm guessing it integrates seamlessly with hundreds of other CRMs.
Intuitive UI when designing the email templates, you don't have to be a designer to use the templates that Mailchimp provides (although using a graphic designer to create newsletters etc. is always a good idea IMO...)
Simple functionality when it comes to creating an email marketing funnel - no redundant complications that make your life harder when building the funnel
Not a fan of some of the font choices, it would be nice to have more.
How campaigns are organized I would like to see this organized differently so older campaigns are easier to find if you need to refer back to an old one.
It would be nice if the reporting gave a little more info on if your email performance with not just open rates but clicks, etc.
Klaviyo is simply a great solution for e-com email marketing & customer relationship management:
User journey visibility: We can see our clients' customers on their individual user journeys (open email, site visits) to better understand and accommodate your customers.
Flow automation: Creating automated emails that follow up with new leads, those who abandoned carts, purchased.
Email design: So easy to use, and more friendly than some other visual builders that we've used.
Metrics visibility: We can see our clients' metrics very easily and adjust efforts accordingly.
We've had Mailchimp for about ten years, I want to say. I started with the company about four years ago, and I don't see us ever diverting to another source. It's easy for us to use, and we have all our clients already built into the database. I imagine we'll use them for as long as we have the company.
The only reason why I did not give it a 10/10 is that it cannot distinguish purchases that came through subscription recharges instead of purchases that were driven directly by email sends. Other than that, the automation qualities, design features, and segmentation options make this an incredible email platform, and I am very happy with it
The user experience, the design, and the simple-to-follow instructions make MailChimp one of the easiest email solutions. The drag-and-drop builder makes it quick to set up, and if you do know some code, there are options to do a bit more customizations.
I have, in the 4+ years that I've used Mailchimp, never seen an issue that restricted the use of their software/tools. I don't know of a single time when they're system crashed or went down. I could be wrong, but I honestly haven't experienced any issues with outages, errors or unplanned downtime
I haven't noticed any slow speeds from Mailchimp or their tools. I think the landing pages load quickly and look nice. The email reports and editing operates smoothly and doesn't take time to load. Additionally, when I use Mailchimp in conjunction with Zapier + Hubspot I don't notice any drag between any of these tools
Their support is always quick and we have recurring meetings with our advisor. they were great when we first started at walking us through the platform and helping us understand how to do the overall setup. They also have a wide variety of articles that cover must issues in a very clear manner that will get you out of a predicament really fast.
Website tools were easy to use and understand so a novice can easily meet or exceed their client's expectations! Loved that we were able to totally customize so that the e-mail we created conveyed our client's overall messaging consistent with their branding! Client love that we can provide turnkey services to support their sales and marketing teams!
Don't cut corners, do it right the first time, if you take your time to build everything the way you want it then it will run itself. The platform will help you increase revenue as long as you use the tools it provides. Don't be scared to ask questions, the support team will help you get to the next level
It's pretty easy to get up and running! There's a slight learning curve on a few things, but once you find where everything is located, you can import your list and send your first email. It really makes our clients feel great to see how quickly they can get that first email out.
Klaviyo is by far the most well-rounded email tool I have used. It is on par with Mailchimp is ease of email design, but far better when it comes to analytics, flows, and segmentation. We knew that as we grew, we risked alienating our audience amid we didn’t create a more sophisticated strategy for customer engagement and retention. Klaviyo was the only option that allowed us to execute our strategy without sacrifice.
Mailchimp is pretty comparable to other email marketing software I have used, but I had a better experience designing templates and emails using Campaign Monitor compared to Mailchimp. Mailchimp always seemed to have small little glitches with the design, and my emails never looked exactly like they did when I designed them.
Mailchimp over the years I've used it has grown in leaps and bounds. They have added so many additional features than were previously available. They are truly an all-in-one marketing platform now. If you're a small operation and just want to add email to your marketing efforts, they're there for you. If you're a larger operation and want to start sending postcard advertisements, they can do that. If you'd good with that and want to kick up your marketing by going social, you can do that on their platform. They are truly able to be as small as you need, but also get quite large in whatever it is you'd like to do through their system.
It is a digital marketing tool with so many amazing features that have helped me connect with my audience personally because the data it provides me is always authentic which also helps me to understand what they exactly need.
Mailchimp has helped us promote events and fundraisers, providing signups and donations from more than 60% of attendees at an event or online fundraiser.
Mailchimp has given us the ability to more easily stay in contact with our volunteers and specific groups of people by messaging using segmentation.
Mailchimp is a great tool for testing the effectiveness of emails using A/B testing.
