ProdPad
Chose ProdPad
Hive doesn't integrate with Salesforce, so all of our users had to be logged into Hive for it to be effective.
Chose ProdPad
We have only made the tool available internally, and this has allowed us to be very deliberate about how we communicate with our customers. I like that there is good organization and tagging, but not an overwhelming amount of customization so the tools and workflows make sense …
Chose ProdPad
ProdPad is directly built for product management in a way that fit with our existing process. Trello and Basecamp require more work to organize things how you like, Aha!'s take on roadmaps is fundamentally wrong for our team.
Chose ProdPad
We were just capturing ideas in an Excel workbook, but that forced ownership to a single user for changes and updates and there wasn't any direct integration with project backlog. We actually didn't select ProdPad, a new VP came and brought it with him because it worked so well …

Chose ProductPlan
ProductPlan has given better results without much effort in learning to use the software itself since other platforms have been very complicated and the ROI was not very pleasant compared to this platform. With ProductPlan work efficiency has been increased since workflow …
Chose ProductPlan
Jira is good for managing the backlog, but Product Plan is good for managing the roadmap.
Chose ProductPlan
The best part of ProductPlan is that it has a drag and drop option that helps you in making roadmaps for your work. This enables you to clear your mind with the range of ideas you have and assists you in focusing on one thing at a time. This tool has excelled the product plan …
Chose ProductPlan
ProductPlan is a direct competitor to Aha!. Whereas JIRA and Trello are for mostly handling the operational tasks, ProductPlan and Aha! are for strategizing. ProductPlan is very well suited to give straight communication on what to achieve in the future and why. JIRA and Trello …

We use ProdPad to capture notes from our sales team within our CRM and then integrate them into our product roadmap. Our product development team utilizes the application daily to track progress, make comments and notes on new ideas, and to visualize progress.

Cons
  • The linking of fields between ProdPad and Jira isn't ideal, and leads to some duplication.
  • The use of real estate on the Release view could be improved.

  • It is a little short of tutorials, I know that the platform is very easy to use but sometimes there are little things that I had not understood.
  • The output of the route sheets is very limited, I would prefer that this could be customized.
  • There are times that there is a little space between the bars of the roadmap, I would like this to be automatically coupled and thus have no errors between dates or time when a task will be performed after completing another.

We were just capturing ideas in an Excel workbook, but that forced ownership to a single user for changes and updates and there wasn't any direct integration with project backlog. We actually didn't select ProdPad, a new VP came and brought it with him because it worked so well at his last place. Everybody here jumped on board, though.
