We choose Read&Write because we could license it to ALL staff and students rather than those with documented special needs. It addresses the fluctuating needs of our populations.
It seems that Google is working to add some of the same features within the Google suite which will be nice, however, it does not seem that they are focused on the same goals for learners, so right now, it does not compare fully.
Switching all learning content to PDF would interrupt the workflow for teachers assigning student work or tests on google classroom. Kami also does not have word prediction to support the students with writing needs such as dyslexia.
