Work in progress but theyre on the right track
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Diligent One Platform for our Board of Trustees and governance council agendas as well as our board policies and administrative procedures. Diligent One Platform addresses the strict risk management and compliance standards we encounter as a district in Higher Ed.
Pros
- Ensures we're in compliance with Federal regulations
- Approval workflows
Cons
- Linking to specific agenda items
- While working on an agenda, it would be extremely helpful to be able to switch to a full page view. There's a lot of wasted space that sits blank when viewing/editing your agenda.
- Ability to have multiple users edit an agenda item simultaneously.
- Better search function for agendas, attachments and minutes.
- Ability to view timestamp of time and person who last made an edit to an agenda item.
- Better public facing user experience. You can only click the banner of a "box" to view the page but most everyone clicks the image to view a page.
- For policy publisher, the name of the "draft" policy/procedure is the same of the published policy/procedure so you're unable to label your draft policies/procedures as "DRAFT v2 - Policy Name" so it's easy to view what's a draft and what's published. You can sort by published and draft but there's no easy way to view multiple versions of the same policy.
Return on Investment
- I'm encountering extreme push back from my internal users so the ROI is nil at this point in time. Diligent One Platform has not included the BoardDocs features that were most relied upon in BoardDocs and the user experience is lackluster. Two of the main sticking points for my team is the inability to link to specific agenda items and the agenda view layout. Our agenda memos are extremely detailed and often include links to past agenda items. This has forced us to create agenda item template documents to build our agenda items in. This allows us to link to specific documents "agenda items" and doesn't make the agenda 39 pages long
