Jitterbit has been widely utilized as a middleware solution, enabling seamless integration between various systems and platforms. Users have leveraged Jitterbit to move data between systems such as Oracle DB and Salesforce, NetSuite and Salesforce, and legacy ERP systems and Salesforce. The software has eliminated the need for extensive development in Java or Net, allowing users to efficiently transfer data without writing code. It has proven to be invaluable in managing data flow between multiple systems, ensuring accurate and consistent data across platforms. Users have praised Jitterbit's features such as operation chaining, email notifications for success or failure, logging, scripting, and conditional mapping. Additionally, the user-friendly UI and field mapping tool have been commended for their ease of use and ability to streamline complex integration processes. Jitterbit's capabilities have been particularly beneficial in implementing Salesforce solutions, integrating HR systems with other departments for improved data management, and facilitating seamless sales order and shipping integration for eCommerce sites.

Versatile Data Integration: Users have found Jitterbit to be a highly versatile tool for data loading, mapping, and integration between different systems. Several reviewers mentioned that it allowed them to streamline their data processes without the need for coding, making it much easier to manage and connect SalesForce and NetSuite.

Configurable Logging and Notifications: The configurable logging feature in Jitterbit has been highly valued by users. Many reviewers have mentioned that it provides clear visibility of the progress and any potential issues in running jobs. Additionally, the ability to receive notifications online or via email has helped users stay informed even when they are not actively monitoring the system.

User-Friendly Interface: Reviewers appreciate Jitterbit's user-friendly interface compared to other similar products. Multiple users have stated that it does not require developer skills to utilize its capabilities effectively, empowering non-technical users to take ownership of the integration process. This ease-of-use aspect is seen as a significant advantage by many customers.

  1. Migration Issues: Some users have encountered difficulties with migrating updates to existing jobs in production, resulting in duplicated project items that need to be manually removed.
  2. Lack of Error Trapping: Reviewers have expressed frustration with the lack of trapping under-the-covers SOAP errors, such as when a query takes too long in Salesforce. This can lead to partial file pulls without proper failure notifications.
  3. Limited Debugging Capabilities: Several users have mentioned that the software's debugging capabilities are lacking. They suggested improvements such as adding checkpoints to track variables and a debugger, as well as enhancing logging options for better post-runtime review of integrations.

Users of Jitterbit have made several recommendations based on their experiences with the software. The most common recommendations include utilizing Jitterbit for integration needs, having a trained administrator to fully utilize its flexibility, and investing time in understanding the data flow between endpoints. Overall, users highly recommend Jitterbit for mid-size organizations aiming to scale at the enterprise level. They find it simple yet secure, with no hidden gaps or pricing surprises. Users suggest exploring Jitterbit's product offerings by reaching out to their team while taking into consideration the depth of scripting expertise required for Jitterbit developers.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Jitterbit plays well in the general-purpose integration that can be used to integrate multiple systems and used by different departments within an Enterprise. I see it as a more basic option for Boomi that is less expensive. So if you are looking for something like Boomi, and don't have the budget, Jitterbit would be a good option.

Scribe - we had problems with this product (jobs were running long, some jobs would finish incomplete without any warning or info, etc) and we wanted more functionality/configurability -- keep in mind this was 3 years ago, so the product may have changed since then!

CozyRoc Microsoft SSIS component for Salesforce ETL - I was successful in my initial testing of this product. However, for the next IT teammate of mine that tried to install it, it did not install/work correctly. We needed a quick solution to replace Scribe and encountering install problems up-front with this connector was a blocker, so we dropped it. Again, this was 3 years ago, so maybe the install of this product would not be a problem now, but I would never consider leaving my Jitterbit environment!!

Evaluated Dell Boomi and Celigo as alternatives prior to purchasing Jitterbit. We went with Jitterbit at that time because we could handle all changes ourselves without any assistance from Jitterbit, and we liked their size and nimbleness. Dell Boomi was too big for us, and Celigo at that time did not have a self-service model. Every change had to go through them (although that has since changed). We were not in a position to be able to wait for someone to make changes for us given the rate of change within the business.

Jitterbit is completely cloud-based and offers a cleaner way to connect to SOAP API endpoints. SQL Server Integration Services has a larger ecosystem of plugin connectors by third parties (at a cost), but the downside is that you still need to use something like Visual Studio to design the integrations and they are executed on-premise via SQL Agent. Jitterbit also has a cleaner line of customer support vs. the Microsoft model which generally assumes you're working with a VAR. Setup and deployment with Jitterbit are easier and doesn't require as much knowledge of Active Directory / user security / etc.

For me, it gives the best ratio:
  • It is the most intuitive and easy to use tool, but it still gives you a lot of options and capabilities to handle all requirements.
  • Add to that, it has cloud agent options and has the better community of the other tools I encountered.

Hands down, Jitterbit is more cost-effective than Informatica, either on-prem or cloud and the value only goes up from there. Reusability and ease of creation make in-house training simple and the end result is we leverage Jitterbit for much more than what we initially considered it for. Having used Oracle and TIBCO before as well, I find they are the tools of yesterday, not able to keep up in terms of functionality or price. Mulesoft would be a more relevant comparison, and I feel we lean on Mule far more than Jitterbit, but both tools have their place and their strengths (and weaknesses!).

I actually use all three of these products: Jitterbit free, DemandTools and PeopleImport. I use DemandTools and PeopleImport most often and usually only use Jitterbit free when the other two won't launch or connect.

The Jitterbit data loader is a dramatic improvement over the standard Salesforce Apex Data Loader. Both applications are free or included with Salesforce but I would only recommend Jitterbit for users who need to run data jobs against Salesforce.

Honestly we didn't evaluate too many other middle ware products, at least that i am aware of its possible our system architect did without my input. But we were given a trial of JitterBit a very good training session and decided it was a perfect fit for us and it has been a great product purcahse for us.

Jitterbit was a better match for the project we used it for because of the depth and breadth of scripting language and the nature of the platform. That being said, the project we threw at it was a tough one. I am almost certain we could not have completed it with the other products we reviewed.

Jitterbit works flawlessly for simple data loading tasks. Anything more complicated, such as deduping objects or cleaning data on a grid would require a more substantial program such DemandTools, but for small, ad-hoc tasks Jitterbit is hard to beat.

What set Jitterbit apart was the flexibility and the capability to copy existing transformations. Since we were rolling out a world-wide data integration program for an enterprise ERP, it was essential that we could implement once and reuse. We could add error captures really easily and nobody could beat the speed.
