I gave it a 9 simply because it is very flexible, has a lot of wonderful features and is very easy to use! There is no competition, it clearly is the best conference software on the market right now. Do your company a favor, and replace your current conference solution with this one!

The system is fairly easy to use and the rating is because the system does have some short comings. The overall effectiveness of the system depends on what are your expectations of the system. If you want to use it as a video phone system, it is not the best solution.

From a purely usability point of view, it's hard to imagine a lot of ways to improve something that interoperates as well as it does. It's quite powerful and is available on so many different platforms, access is easy. There are many issues with LifeSize Cloud, but usability really isn't a major concern.

My biggest issue is the poor screen sharing. (and sometimes choppy sound)
We bought the system for screen sharing and able to do remote presentations. But sometimes it dosent show full screen or the lag isnt good- especially when on 3 way calls.
It would be nice to have more flexibity as screen sharing has evolved.

We rolled out Lifesize with minimal instructions and high adoption. The touchpad on the Phone 2 is solid from a usability perspective. The touchpad on the Phone 2 allows us to remove remotes. The whole Icon experience is so much better than the color multi-function buttons on the room units (which were confusing to people). Thankfully the room units also work well with the Phone 2.
