Planview Projectplace definitely makes sense if you've been using their solutions in the past years so that you don't have to spend much on change management and training. Other than that, it does offer all the features you would expect from a PPM tool in a relatively simple way. However, considering the price per user and the number of well-priced competitors on the market (both at Enterprise and SME level), it makes it really difficult to invest in Projectplace as new customer.

In conclusion, I would like to share my verdict. So in my opinion, Planview Projectplace is a great tool for organizations to opt for. It is better and well suited for a large project team and enterprise business in project management. It is great to keep track on your tasks and progress and for that Planview Projectplace is the best option out there.

Great arrangement of onboarding recordings, yet they didn't appear to dive down into highlights. We were essentially looking around in the product on occasion attempting to sort out certain highlights. They do have online classes you can join and a beautiful powerful help segment on their website, yet I would say be ready to do some exploration to sort out the ideal design.

Definitely find the Planview projectplace to be one of the most significant alternatives to the other available project management tools. With its Gantt chart functionality, you can present management information on project status accurately and efficiently.

It can be used whether you are working remotely or in office setup but I think it is best feasible for remote working. Also, It is a comprehensive project management application and works best for collaboration & reporting. They need to add integration functions with other relevant applications. Also, the user interface needs to be improved so that it would be easy to understand for users.

Tasks or goals are easy to breakdown and represent as cards on Kanban boards after which we can track them with individuals for updates and completion which is very good in terms of being on top of the things at any given point of time. This really has increased team efficiency by a small margin in how our team operates and completes their allocated goals. We are also able to view the workload of group of people or individuals and thus get a good overview of the planned work in a particular time frame.

If you're managing a large project with multiple sub projects and a lot of employees, Planview Projectplace is the perfect place to run it. Being able to see what everyone is working on - and where they are in the process - very quickly is vital to successful project management. This software has every tool you need to succeed.

Planview Projectplace is better suited for a large project team where there needs to be communication amongst the different personnel in the project team. If multiple documents need to be looked at for approval, this software is suited for that. It is very good to track progress and stay on top of tasks. Sometimes, when forecasting how long certain things take, it can be a little difficult.

Overall a decent, easy to use software that we've used for project tracking for program managers. The boards are easy to navigate and helpful for teams that are spread across time zones or locations that make real-time updates more difficult. Great for smaller teams that have already aligned on objectives and are now managing implementation, but maybe less great for teams who are in the process of aligning or brainstorming as it's features as less well developed for those types of exercises.

Any development or production team that involves lots of support and development. In our organization we utilize Projectplace to help manage the development of a software application that pulls data from other sources and generates dashboards to display the data for end-users. It would not be as well suited for individual-based projects or short-term projects.

I think for new and mid-size teams, this software is an excellent suite of tools for a project team. Collaboration and data tracking are very excellent. Through its integration with the other software many teams use (Microsoft) leaves some to be desired to the industry standard of Microsoft Project

Planview Projectplace is well suited for a medium to larger sized organisation where the team needs to track documents, projects tasks and issues in one place. As a smaller company it felt overkill, especially with the softer colour scheme. They would benefit from a more modern design or better choice of colours.

Great for Agile teams. One thing you have to realize is you are not just implementing a tool, but a new process. You can't expect to get there overnight. I recommend that bringing in an expert to help deploy the tool and make the tool part of everyday life and process. The tool needs to be integrated and become how you do things versus something extra you have to do. Once you get the team using the tool as the "how you do things", team morale greatly improves and adoption increases as well as productivity and a number of KPIs / metrics.
