Overall Satisfaction with Planview Projectplace

Projectplace is currently being used in our SVS support team. It helps will the rollout of new versions of the SVS application as well as patches and other updates. So far, only one team in our company is utilizing Projectplace that I am aware of but it's likely that it will spill over into other teams in the future. Our team is primarily based in the West Coast United States region and English is the language used.

  • It could provide more data visualization tools
  • It could integrate with another commutation platform more effectively
  • Its been readily adopted because it supports working remotely
  • It has a fairly intuitive interface which makes it easy to use
  • The collaborative workstreams are a great tool to share data

The technical support for Planview Projectplace has been super helpful! They are quick to respond to email and also offer chat support which is always available. The customer support has been friendly from what I have heard from my fellow teammates and I have not heard of any complaints about the installation process.
I rated Planview Projectplace's overall usability nine out of ten because the user interface is intuitive and the beginning tutorial notes are very helpful in learning the interface. Also, the visual icons and pictures displayed through the different overviews or charts provide an easy to understand overview of the information. It is very feature rich which can be a little bit intimidating at the beginning but once you learn the layout, you are glad to have all that functionality.
I have used a variety of project management software in the past including more recently Scoro, Celoxis and monday.com. I would say that Planview Projectplace handles a lot of functions better than the other software. Projectplace facilitates better collaboration in workflows through progress tracking and document collaboration. It also emphasizes Gantt charts and Kanban boards to provide different levels of project tracking.
Any development or production team that involves lots of support and development. In our organization we utilize Projectplace to help manage the development of a software application that pulls data from other sources and generates dashboards to display the data for end-users. It would not be as well suited for individual-based projects or short-term projects.
