Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Virtual Office
Virtual Office is used by a subset of our users (department specific). We use it to enhance communication by giving users another alternative beyond simply calling or using email to have an integrated text/chat feature, web meeting portal and fax management solution.
- Manages user's "presence".
- Easy to use faxing hub.
- Call logging easy to review.
- Missing functionality in new versions of software - they removed tons of features from the classic Virtual Office.
- Buggy application - many glitches for user experience.
- Updated far too infrequently.
- It's positive in that it's given us a new communications platform from our failing previous one, but there's still a long way to go.
We liked 8x8's look and feel and overall back-end management more than the other vendors we reviewed, such as EvolveIP, Cisco and other hosted options (Avaya, Asterisk)
