Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use 8x8 with our VOIP phone system. It makes our desk phone accessible via our cell phones anywhere in the building, as well as out of the building. We can send text messages, voice mail, actual voice calls. Truly expands the capabilities of continuing to work and not miss important calls or messages when away from my desk.

Pros and Cons

appears as if I'm at my desk phone to the other person whether I am or not
direct number to call instead of switch board and extension

I used to be able to "flip" a call from my desk to my cell and vise versa. Don't see that feature anymore.

Being able to communicate with team mates as well as clients without being at my desk keeps my productivity up; especially meaningful with a small staff. My cell announces the 8x8 calls as if they were native to the phone. Easy to show myself unavailable as well.
