Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 X Series (Formerly Virtual Office)

I use it to manage my offices when I had multiple offices. Within the last 12 months, it appeared that 8x8 upgraded its services, as well as how "available" customer service was available. These changes are difficult and cumbersome whereas the original interface was very user-friendly. Then, in order to attempt to get help from customer service, it takes between 30 minutes and an hour just to get results. Finally, without warning, I have been "canceled" for the better part of 2 months—for no reason. My account is fully paid and However, whatever changes made by the company were terrible. It is cumbersome and I cannot get customer service. Despite being paid up and having a credit on my account, my account has, and continues to be, canceled. Now I cannot even accept customer service as the telephone number refuses to get me to a live person and when I do "chat", I cannot get help because my email is "not recognized." Finally, twice now I have been in contact with a "cancellation specialist" who now refuses to respond to me.
  • None
  • Customer Service needs to be competent and accessible.
  • Ease of use
  • Good customer service
  • competent customer service
  • It has crippled the former functionality. I am changing services.
Large companies sacrifice customer service and quality of service for cost and getting new customers. The upgrade of the virtual portals is cumbersome and not effective. The app on the computer seems to be very easy to use, but limited and the functionality often requires us to contact customer service—who is not available and often pawn me off to other agents who seeming help, but then I suffer collateral damage. When I added a new telephone number in February, I lost my fax number. When I fixed the fax numbers, a month later, I had no outgoing messages and outgoing voice messages for my voice mail. The links between the records were undone by an 8x8 upgrade. Again, I wasted hours to get this correct. Finally, my services, for no reason, were disconnected in May. It took me hours to "reconnect" but when I reconnected, it still did not work. It cut me off from Chat, etc and when I continued to try and get this fixed, after spending 2-3 hours last week, I am done. I am still not fully restored. I am going through a local company now.

Zero. There is no chance that I will recommend any 8x8 product. At the height of my business, I spent $278 per month. Now, I still spend $156 a month and get extremely poor customer service. If a business has time to spend on dealing with administration rather than focus on the aspects of business, then one can spend the money and time to deal with issues.
