Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting

Abila MIP Fund Accounting software is used by the Finance Director and AP/Payroll Technician. We have executive view users that can access the software to pull up information. Our finance director does the financial reports. Together, we process accounts payable, receivable, payroll, HR, [and provide] financial reports to board of directors, and various agencies for grant reporting. We are primarily a federally funded agency and this software keeps us in compliance. Abila MIP Fund Accounting was purchased for that reason.
  • There are several options for pulling posted general ledger reports based on how the user would like to extract information.
  • Exporting in Excel in order to manually double check your work.
  • HR and Payroll module work together well and makes less work for me.
  • For first time users this product can be overwhelming. May take a user about six months in order to feel comfortable using.
  • Not being able to insert rows working in an entry.
  • More default reports that are easier to find.
  • With experience this software is only as smart as the user. This software can do many things.
  • The time to train staff on the software can be overwhelming.
  • Financial reporting is a great tool.
We manage over twenty different funds and this software accommodates us. With the different segments we have endless ways of tracking our government funds.
This software came highly recommended from our accounting consultant.
Abila Fund Accounting is an excellent software. However, the software users will definitely need a manager to take the lead on setting up software and be able to have written instructions with pictures so that the steps can be visual as well as comprehensive. This software is complex so users will definitely need to have good accounting knowledge.

Yes - Benefits were not calculating correctly and support worked in a timely fashion to fix.
I had set up the wrong pay period dates and the gentleman made sure to stay on the line to help me correct and advised me of other concerns that I might encounter.
