Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting (formerly Abila MIP)
MIP Fund Accounting is the primary accounting software used at our organization. I have been using the software for over a decade now and have found that it is very intuitive and easy to teach. I have looked into some of the other products that MIP offers and hope to implement additional modules such as Payroll and HR.
- MIP Fund Accounting provides a great report builder.
- MIP Fund Accounting provides a wonderful drill down tool for some of the bigger reports.
- MIP Fund Accounting has great automation for distributions and recurring journal entries.
- I feel that the MIP Fund Accounting lacks options for check printing. Maybe this is solved with the MIP Forms Designer Module but I feel there should be better options at aligning checks and other forms for printing in MIP Fund Accounting.
- MIP Fund Accounting has been a workhorse for us. I appreciate that it does it's job and does it well so that I don't have to worry about it.
We're a small organization that doesn't utilize many multiple funds. For the few that we do use, MIP Fund Accounting is easy to use and makes managing them a breeze.
MIP Fund Accounting was implemented shortly before I started at this organization. However, over the several years we have used this program we have occasionally browsed the market to see if there are any other options. Our searches never turn up any other software that we feel would provide as much value as MIP Fund Accounting does.
