It is used across the entire organization and is used as our financial recording keeping system.
- Ease of use, training is a snap.
- The segment reporting allows the organization to look at financial data in a variety of formats.
- The budgeting module is weak, we still use Excel to compile budgets and download the data to MIP.
- The foreign currency module handles the accounting really well, but reporting is weak.
- ROI has been positive. We replaced our Great Plains system 6 years ago and I am still operating at half the cost of Great Plains.
Yes, the organization receives multiple funding from multiple sources over multiple years and the data entry and reporting out works great.
MIP has the most dynamic program/cost center/project segment reporting on the market. We evaluated many other fund accounting system and found MIP to by the most versatile.
