Overall Satisfaction with Adaptive Suite

Some complexity in setup of Discovery versus other products. Maintenance of system is somewhat complex where you have to understand the entire system.
Adaptive Insight is used to consolidate various ERP environments to one reporting environment for the entire company. It consolidates information from many places into one place so reporting is easier. Additionally, it interfaces with our forecasting tool and communicates information to various personnel within the company.
  • Assimilates information from various corporate entities into a usable and readable form.
  • Very much like a giant spreadsheet and a reporting tool.
  • Can make communication within organization easier with Discovery tool and export of information back to users.
  • Not for items that more not monthly items, production reports are not appropriate nor daily sales data.
  • Saving time instead of manually consolidating and making report
  • Some time to maintain the system which is about 20% equivalent person
Reduced hours worked on closing, closing procedures are more consistent.
Role for system was project manager and implementer. Now training personnel to maintain the system.
Adaptive is simpler than say Hyperion. The Discovery is not as robust as PowerBI. Reporting is fairly simple but not as robust as Crystal Report ( at least the version 8-11 versions).
Appropriate for data systems from various forms, spreadsheet , ERP system, CRM and consolidates. Limited graphic capabilities in Discovery module although the Office Connect module is excellent for recurring tasks such as board of director slides etc.
