Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now
My company currently uses ADP Workforce Now as our HRIS, Time and Attendance Payroll System, Applicant Tracking System, Intranet, and Self-Service Portal which allows associates to submit changes to their profile including address changes, emergency contacts, and benefit elections.
The System Administrators are in the Finance and HR department; however, the entire company uses the system for timecard entry, submission of time off requests, and to review company information such as events, news, and announcements, as well as download important forms.

- Updating content on the intranet part of the portal is simple and easy. The interface allows users to hyperlink forms, website addresses, and upload images to provide an aesthetically pleasing intranet.
- For the most part the Relationship Managers our company has interacted with have been professional, helpful, and prompt.
- Entering new hires, terminating associates, and creating a benefits enrollment wizard for new hires and open enrollment is fairly simple and intuitive.
- The biggest con with ADP Workforce Now is in regards to the Applicant Tracking System. Potential candidates for job openings are directed to an external career site, which is linked to ADP, however users are required to register for an account with a username and password. Given many of our positions are Customer Service Representatives we tend to have a very high drop off rate of applications submittals. The older version of ADP Workforce Now did not require a username and password to apply for openings.
- The reporting aspect to ADP Workforce Now is not user friendly; is extremely confusing, and cumbersome.
- The hold times to get through to the service center is horrendous. Typical wait time to answer a call is 45 minutes. Service requests typically take 3-4 weeks to resolve.
- The system is extremely expensive, and although you can pick and chose which modules you want there are modules that are included in some of the packages that go unused (at least for our company). We found the Performance Management module to be inadequate for our needs.
- Paychex
About 15 years ago I used Paychex for a brief period of time. It would be difficult to compare the two systems due to the amount of time I used Paychex (one month), as we switched to ADP shortly after I started working at the organization.
