Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR

We use BambooHR to calculate holidays, see the organization structure, and see who is in and out for the day. It also tells us who joined recently and whose birthday it is. It's also used to send leave requests, and we get notified via email about the approvals; we also do performance reviews through this portal.
  • Organisation structure - simplified view.
  • Easy leave request.
  • Good to see who is on leave and who recently joined.
  • The org chart can be more clearly defined.
  • The performance review bar could be easier to find.
  • The birthdays are not a very useful feature.
  • Understands where leaves are being taken.
  • Easy to approve vacations.
  • Keeps track of performance reviews.
It is highly intuitive and easy to use. There are many impactful features from both an employer's and an employee's perspective and use cases. The leaves and performance reviews are kept transparent. The organization chart feature helps keep track of people and see who the right person to reach out to is if a situation arises.
I have not contacted support for this app.

BambooHR is useful in giving insight into the organization structure; if you want to see who is in a particular team or who you can reach out to in case someone is on leave, the team structure and the manager/ peers can be viewed easily. This feature is handy. I am unsure of how appropriate the birthday feature is. The whole organization may not want to know someone's birthday unless they are on your team.
