Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
We use BigCommerce for our B2B and B2C webstore and shopping cart. The program is integrated with our Quick Books Online and SOS Inventory ERP. We process many orders through the BC website and I manage all facets of this application within our business processes. When first selecting a platform for this complex systems integration, I searched for functionality, features, ease of integration and implementation and support. The clear winner was BigCommerce, and this app has surpassed my expectations in all factors. We were moving from a k-eCommerce managed and hosted site which was integrated with our Microsoft NAV Dynamics ERP. Because of the excessive application complexity within NAV and the k-eCommerce backend, the changeover integration was expected to be daunting. However, the clean intuitive building blocks (I had to go from square one) within BigCommerce made the design, development and integration of a new site to our new ERP platforms much smoother, easier and faster. The superb functionality of the BigCommerce App allowed me to more easily manage a broad scope of moving parts, data mapping and achieve the complete integration in a time sensitive manner.

- Maybe offer a few more templates, for examples
- Offer Font options and easier image embedding on cart pages and checkout, unrestricted placement
- More extensive Couponing options
- Extended BOGO options
- Provide options for selected customers (abandoned cart side) light marketing via eMail
- Excellent order processing, saves our CS time
- Our order metrics are up nicely with an AOV 2x's the national avg
- Monthly app cost is a little high, but overall ROI is good

We do use various API's with our store. These include Shipping modules, Klaviyo eMail marketing, Elfsight forms and Quickbooks SaaS Connector. These applications were easy to integrate - BigCommerce tools allow for this and all the add on API's are functioning nicely.
- k-eCommerce and Shopify
Although k-eCommerce may be a good fit for businesses who's ERP is Microsoft NAV Dynamics, we found the application to be cumbersome and lacking user friendly functionality as compared with BigCommerce. The k-eCommerce support was poor, impersonal and lacked situational sensitivity.
k-eCommerce was also more expensive for fewer benefits.
I only had "trial period" experience to evaluate Shopify. In that pperiod I found that Shopify was not for us, the UI was somewhat difficult to navigate and page-builder functions were overly compleex and dificult to work in.

Evaluating BigCommerce and Competitors
Yes - We replaced k-eCommerce store and cart with a new BigCommerce store and cart. We replaced k-eCommerce because the BC application offered substantially more features including a more user friendly UI, app navigation, site / cart design flexibility, integration compatibility and tech support benefits

From scalability - although I have not integrated another site within BigCommerce the ability to do so at a future date was important in my decision to go with BC.
We had to integrate BC with 2 other applications, the ease of use and versatility of BC made these transitions much easier.

No changes, I evaluated a number of other cart systems and I would choose BC again - without hesitation.

Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled - Should have provided more extensive user training on application functions, utility and requiring selected features useage.
