Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT
Financial users within the Foundation use for AP, and GL. Reporting to them is relatively easy. Struggle with providing standard reporting to non-financial users throughout the school that we support. Also still struggle with a very manual AP process. Do not have an expense management module.
- Ability to drill down to detail
- Ease of navigation
- Reporting on attributes is difficult
- Not having detail in GL until the AP/AR is posted, even though JEs are available when entered, pre-posting
- Seems to be fairly flexible
- Current staff inherited use of FE from years prior to implementation. NXT has made navigation easier, but wish more thought had been put into the initial setup.
Standard reporting has been helpful in maintaining compliance. Detailed data from the ledger is also used in our regular donor endowment letters. Able to pull into Excel and build letters using a mail merge.
We are just starting to use the dashboard functionality. Hoping that helps some of the non-financial users who have responsibility for certain projects.
