Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

NXT is a user-friendly CRM. Our team includes a staff of diverse tech abilities, and everyone is able to navigate the product smoothly. I appreciate its ability to generate Lists and integrate with ResearchPoint. I also appreciate its customizable format, where you are able to move tiles around on a record to include the most useful data for your needs at the top of the record. NXT is intuitive and well built. NXT has room to grow, especially related to the Events module and gift entry. You will still need to use the backend (aka RE Hosted) that resembles the old-school RE7. For database managers, having a familiar backend is useful during the transition from RE7 to NXT. We transitioned in 2016.
  • It builds lists and presents them as lists or on a map. This is useful for gift officers to plan their visits with constituents within a region.
  • The ability to allow tiles to be moved around by a user within a constituent record is wonderful.
  • Easy to navigate from the Search bar.
  • The events module: registrants for events must be added in the backend RE7.
  • Gift entry must be done in RE7 backend.
  • Building lists using one-off names is tough unless you start from a query.

  • The mapping feature allows gift officers to plan visits with prospects more efficiently.
  • The lists feature allows me to present data in an organized format in meetings.
  • NXT empowers staff to search the database themselves, rather than asking us to export a spreadsheet.
