Use Cases and Deployment Scope

BlueJeans is being used across the whole organization. We use it to have videoconferences with colleagues and students and to conduct webinars for our students.

Pros and Cons

Call quality is consistent.
Easy to schedule and invite participants.

It would be great to have the capacity to create breakout rooms during a webinar.
I would like more options for how all the participants appear on my screen when we have many people on a call.

Return on Investment

Helps us communicate with students and colleagues who are far away.
Helps me work from home.

Alternatives Considered

ZOOM Quality Management Suite, Google Hangouts (Classic), Blackboard Collaborate and Skype

I like BlueJeans better. The calls are more consistent and it is easier to schedule meetings, install the plugin, and invite people to meetings.

It works really well for conference calls with 2-8 people. I find that there are fewer glitches on BlueJeans than I have experienced in other platforms. It gets a little tougher when there are more people on the call because you can’t see everyone and there is no capacity for creating breakout rooms.

BlueJeans is a great collaboration tool!
