Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Board Series

The Cisco Board Series are a collaboration tool for meetings and whiteboarding. We tested them with MS Teams. We ultimately selected another product for deployment but we still have a few. The Cisco Board Series is a touch display with a camera that enables users to join meetings and do whiteboarding in real-time using a meeting platform like Teams.

Cisco Board Series are probably the middle of the mix in terms of features, favorable in terms of flexibility, unfavorable in term of comparative cost. Cisco is a leader in VC hardware, so it's important we looked at them when evaluating digital boards. We also looked at products from Neat, Microsoft, DTEN, Samsung, Vibe.
Cisco provides good support for all their products, the boards are no exception. We had no issues with overall support. We can say support was not a blocker to implementation as it was very good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cisco Board Series from a support standpoint, although I can't say I would recommend smartnet.
Since they are now approved for MS Teams, their usability is very good. Cisco Board Series is very flexible and able to fit with a multi-platform environment. Overall usability is good. The management of the boards from WCH is excellent. We only tested with Teams, but that worked well. From a usability standpoint the Cisco Board Series competes with the best products in this segment of the market.

The Cisco Board Series are well suited to Cisco environments transitioning to Teams with both platforms in the environment. The board has a lot of features, but the price is high and might be more than average users need. With USB passthrough, it is a very flexible board, more flexible than competitors so ideal for a mixed environment. However, for a large organization standardized on one platform, not trying to support multiple platforms, there are better options.
