We utilize them as L3 switches to enable MP-BGP deployments rapidly in a mobile and dynamic enviorment. They present a very effective performance cost ratio.
  • Ease of programming
  • Dependability
  • Ease of deployment
  • Form Factor options
  • Size, would love a small but fully featured 8-12 port option and 1/2 size
  • Definately the leader in ROI for my company. Great performance/price ratio
  • Negative is the licesensing / feature model. can often become confusing for customers.
we currently are not taking advantage of Cisco ACI and the managbility.
Familiarity with Cisco IOS-XE and beeing the leader in the realm usually wins out. Dell poweredge programming syntax can be difficult.
