We use them in our offices as access switches and as distribution switches. As single stand or in stack. They are used for a complete network in our offices to connect users and devices. Connecting, firewalls, routers, user desktops, servers etc.
- They deliver performance, flexibility, and security.
- They have great hardware endurance.
- They are cost efficient, great service for money
- Software improvement, as there are always some bugs on new versions
- Fan cooling and noise
- 2960 need to fix upgrade integration with DNA, failing
- they are pretty durable and ensure smooth work
- negative impact is hitting some cisco bug, specially with 2960 series. no fixes, or reloads required. Upgrades as well
- 9300 series for now run smooth, fast devices,=
- 9200 and 9300 series have bug with licenses when upgrading to 17.3.5 version, showing not registered
Yes we use Cisco DNA for managing Cisco Switches. It makes upgrades and big changes a lot easier. Also for licensing
