Overall Satisfaction with clockVIEW

We use ClockView for time and attendance tracking for nearly 1,300 employees across the US, Mexico (in implementation), Taiwan (ready to go live), and Shanghai (ready to go live). Previous to ClockView, we used TimeForce only to capture US employee clock punches, and the payroll department generated the pay file for our payroll service. With Acumen Clockview, we have fully implemented the software and enabled the management hierarchy so managers are responsible and accountable for employee clock punches, overrides, etc. We use a combination of the webclock GUI and biometric time clocks in our Asia locations. We have implemented the mobility functions for remote employees to clock in with a mobile application that uses Geo-Fences and Geo-tagging for auditing and accountability. Clockview is integrated into our ERP system through web services to enable labor rates and labor cost reporting.
  • Easily customized
  • Flexible user interfaces
  • ability to support multi-tenancy
  • because the system manages huge amounts of data, it requires operators to be highly familiar with the user interface
  • user interface not always intuitive to beginner users
  • better integration with Active Directory
  • Infinitely better management of employee labor hours
  • Improved processes for electronically submitting and routing time off requests, with better management of earned benefits
  • Exponentially improved reporting on employee status, turnover reporting, census tracking.
We underwent a comprehensive business requirement assessment and evaluated dozens of packages, narrowing down to a final three. One critical requirement was the need to pass clock in/out activity as well as payrate information between the Time and Attendance software and our ERP systems. We finally evaluated 3 top contenders, and unanimously selected ClockView.
If you have a medium or large company, this is an excellent and highly configurable solution to managing time and attendance.

Evaluating clockVIEW and Competitors

Yes - We replaced TimeForce time and attendance in the US because we were implementing a new ERP system and required greater integration between our time keeping system and our workorder management / manufacturing system. In Asia, we replaced a paper process for managing and tracking labor hours.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
We required web service integration to other systems. Not all time and attendance systems will permit passing of data back and forth. the flexibility and customization of clockview is unlimited.
No, we ran a comprehensive review of requirements and solutions. There are prettier T&A solutions, but they lack many of the mandatory requirements we needed in our solution.

I get quick and timely resolution to my issues. I usually find the problems are operator error, but we occasionally find bugs that are quickly remedied.

No - We have 2X weekly meetings on implementations and customizations. Acumen support team provide quick and satisfying solutions to our questions and the occasional bug.
Yes - yes, their engineering team is proficient and quick to identify the problem and provide a fix. Most of the bugs we've found have been the result of complex customizations that can increase the likelihood of unintended consequences.
Every meeting. We don't have an HRIS system (yet), so we've needed to leverage customizations with Clockview to get HRIS-like features from Clockview. The Acumen team has stepped up to find creative ways to deliver when we needed something else.
