Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense
It is being used to act as a travel agent to book flights, cars, and hotels. It is also being used as our expense report system in which charges show up and we justify them. It is also a way to receive per-diem and keep travel organized up to the university's standards to show budget information and how much recruiters were spending.
Pros
- Organized expenses
- Easy to itemize
Cons
- The app could be a little more in tuned with online
- Some of the coding gets complicated when making a report
- Saved time
- Great way to stay organized
Concur Travel and Expense was more user friendly with stuff such as calculating per diem and figuring out hotel itemizations. Chrome River had more categories when it came to expenses though. Concur looked a little older based on user interface, Chrome River looked a little newer. Sometimes Chrome River would freeze out, Concur never had that issue. Creating a report in Concur was a little more timely.
I am not sure other than our own personal travel agent services. We used the travel portion of Concur Travel and Expense to plan trips, book travel, plan hotel stats, and get rental cars. We used it as a travel resource in which we booked all of our airplane flights through. Other than that I am not sure.
It has allowed more autonomy between employees and departments and the higher ups. We are able to create our own reports, easily, while being able to take pictures of receipts and upload rather than a lot of paperwork. It allowed us to take responsibility for our own travel instead of others.
Concur Travel and Expense was a place where it had everything in one spot. You could plan your flight, hotel, and rental car all in one flight. It was very user friendly when it came to that. They also had someone looking over it in case you made a mistake and needed to change it.
