Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight

Conductor is being used within the marketing department in the Carpet One division of CCA Global Partners. Specifically we are using it in digital marketing to assess our current state of organic search and improve upon that. The business problem it addresses is to help us identify opportunity areas where we can improve our organic rankings. We also use Conductor to identify areas where we can create content in order to rank for keywords we were not ranking for before.
  • Conductor is great at identifying opportunities in search. I've found more opportunities for new and for optimizing existing content than with any other tools I've used.
  • Conductor is great on reporting with their workspaces. My challenge is in coming up with my own individual workflow to organize those reports, as I've created many. Their staff is great with helping to identify workflows and work through each task.
  • Conductor's team is awesome! We have our regular support calls where they always have an agenda and are wanting to teach me something new about the platform or provide new value to our organization.
  • The recommendations section of Conductor is a weakness. The recommendations themselves are great, but I can't use the section well because I can't easily sort and organize recommendations or mark off which recommendations I've implemented. I'd ideally like a way to mark each recommendation as a task, give those tasks organization or subtasks, and then bulk mark tasks as completed. Right now to create a task and mark it as complete is so manual that I can't use Conductor to keep track of my SEO tasks.
  • We've only used Conductor for about 6 months. We've seen an ROI of higher ranking for certain keywords and a slight increase in organic traffic. We are still waiting to see improved lead conversion.
Conductor's support has been best-in-class from the sales process to now. Even when we've encountered tough analytics questions that they couldn't answer, they did research and spoke directly to the Google Analytics team to get us an answer that works for our account.
We did not look at other alternatives. We were very pleased with Conductor from the beginning.
If you are looking for a tool to review organic search, assess your current positioning, and identify opportunities for growth, Conductor is 100% the tool for you. If you are looking for just a tool that allows you to search for keywords - this is not the tool for you. They do have a keyword opportunity tool that bases new keywords to target off of competitors you are tracking, but there is no tool for just keyword research. That's not the goal of the platform. If you are looking for something as basic as that, you may be more well suited for a basic keyword research tool like SEMRush. Conductor offers so much more than that.

We haven't found the need. Conductor's included support is awesome!
Yes - It was. Conductor support has been awesome with every ticket. They respond quickly. Anything they didn't know the answer to (which can come up with analytics, etc. - not with their platform) they did research to solve the problem for us.
We had an issue with the way our Google Analytics filters pulled in page data for the content filters in Conductor. Chris in Conductor support researched the issue and even got in contact with Google support to find a resolution for us. He implemented a very creative resolution that allows us to use the content filters even though our Google Analytics account isn't set up in the most efficient way to do so.
