Overall Satisfaction with Conga Composer

We use Conga Composer for dynamic generation of invoice documents / payment remittance details / Account Statements / and complex report requirements. It is useful to generate output in both excel and word formats for users. The emailing functionality is heavily utilized as well along with Conga Trigger and Conga Batch. This allows for the automated communication and sending of documents to end customers.
  • Dynamic Table Rendering in Word
  • Complex Queries for Data to be displayed
  • Write Back Updates to Salesforce Records
  • Seamless email integration with Salesforce
  • Automation through batch / trigger
  • Solution Builder helps speed development
  • Deployment of Solutions between Salesforce Environments
  • Deployment of Templates between Salesforce Environments
  • Merging and combining of multiple attachments (more control over the combined output)
  • Positive - Time to render and collate invoice backup
  • Positive - Time to email invoice documents and statement documents
The template builder UI needs a refresh and an update. It can be a bit clunky to navigate at times
Invoices are auto generated and attached to the SF record. Email templates are used to vastly reduce the amount of time spent on billing and increases organizational cash flow

Would you buy Conga Composer again?

Yes

Conga is a great tool for generating complex documents from many different salesforce data sources. This works well for things such as project status reports and invoice documents, where many different tables of data need to be pulled and displayed. For very large documents (such as organizational level reporting) Conga is not the best as it will run into governor limits on the number of rows allowed
