Overall Satisfaction with Cornerstone OnDemand
Cornerstone OnDemand was implemented last year as our organization-wide LMS with the goal of making it our home for all learning, including integrating with LinkedIn Learning for additional learning content. The business need was to have a single source for L&D related content and to encourage ease of access and use for an employee base across the country as well as globally.
Pros
- Searchability: the content can be searched for in multiple, intuitive areas of the interface.
- SSO and integration: With single sign-on options and integrations with other systems, Cornerstone fit well into the tech stack.
- Resources for learning the system: As it is so broadly used, the knowledge base and community around it make it fairly easy to find answers when we hit a snag.
Cons
- UI: Many areas of the UI didn't receive any sort of refresh and therefore still look dated (like transcripts and reporting).
- Reporting: While there are tons of reports available, they take a lot of knowledge and user input to get the data you need.
- No Outlook support for ILT: Since the system is not connected to Outlook Calendars for room booking, the two "calendars" don't talk to each other.
- True ROI has not been measured at this time.
Compared to other LMS's, CSOD had a much fuller system offering and many more integrations, making it the best choice for our needs.
