Overall Satisfaction with D&B Finance Analytics

We use it to get rough estimates of company revenue, track their locations, and examine the reliability of their trade payments to get a sense of the business's stability. I also use it to examine past UCC filings or court cases filed against the group to estimate its stability, mostly for financial data.
  • Financial estimates.
  • Trade payments data.
  • UCC filings.
  • The revenue estimate disappears from the report after you select it, which is absolutely puzzling and frustrating.
  • There is never any useful data regarding federal contracts.
Don't have credit/collections team.
I use Hoovers for less detailed financial information. Nexis is much better for relevant news.
It's quite poor. My team's accounts are regularly deactivated for no explicable reason. Service goes out at random points periodically, or we cannot log in to our accounts, and we have to reach out to support to regain access, which can take days.

Do you think D&B Finance Analytics delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with D&B Finance Analytics's feature set?

Yes

Did D&B Finance Analytics live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of D&B Finance Analytics go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy D&B Finance Analytics again?

No

I'd use it to get rough estimates of the financial performance of small, private companies without public data sources. I don't even bother consulting it for large, public companies where I can examine their SEC filings. However, it's better than nothing in the former use case.
