Overall Satisfaction with DigitalPersona

We use DigitalPersona to log on to the LiveScan machine we use to fingerprint applicants. As far as I am aware we are the only department using it. It helps to alleviate the need to remember multiple passwords and it is very fast, which means the customer is in and out much quicker. Good for them, good for business.
  • This product is small, sleek, and is able to identify your print very quickly. If your IT team gets it set up for you it is a dream to use, simply put your finger on it and move on.
  • I hate having to remember passwords and in this line of business there are TONS of passwords. If you could have a device that let you in with a single print why would you not?? Everyone is worried about security and DigitalPersona helps put your mind at ease.
  • I have not had any problems, but it is important to clean the surface to ensure you are getting the best reading.
  • I did not install this device, but have heard some people say it is not as simple as plug and go, but I would not expect something that deals with security to be plug and go.
  • I personally do not know the impact with regard to return on investment, but to me personally to have something so small, simple, and very easy to use, I would imagine the peace of mind alone pays for itself.
I love DigitalPersona, and for the price and peace of mind it is the one I would recommend to any business looking to improve security.
The access to DMV files, criminal files, and applicant files.
So the room in which we have our computer that DigitalPersona is connected is a room that many people have access to, but we really only want very specific people to be able to utilize the computer due to the nature of what there is access to. Without DigitalPersona anyone with access to the room would have the ability to access the secure information, but now only those with the secure fingerprint added through DigitalPersona have access. I guess if you needed more people that had access it may be less appropriate and may have a greater chance of not being as secure.
