Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox Business
Dropbox Business is used across all verticals in my organization. It
is a one-stop solution for file storing and sharing. It is very flexible and
stable when it comes to transferring large size files and documents. From the point of view security, it provides a great platform to store proprietary information using encryption key security. Such features are critical in helping organizations to trust and migrate exhaustively to cloud storage like Dropbox Business. Smart sync feature in the Dropbox Business allows you to sync and autosave files from your desktop to the cloud. This way, an auto backup is created the moment you start working on a file. Dropbox Business allows you to add members and share your folder with others. Dropbox Business integrates well with enterprise software, where information collaboration can take place across different software.
Pros
- Collaboration is very fast and secured.
- Document storage is seamless with auto arrange. Folder views are very graphical, and navigation is easy.
Cons
- Dropbox Business mobile phone app needs continuous updates, and the app only works after update.
- No traceability or tracking logs, this is a major issue.
- The sync features saved us a lot of time that we use to use for manual file upload on the cloud.
- Using Dropbox Business reduced the use of the main server to upload and save files on the main server. This saved us a lot of space for our legacy software.
Dropbox Business is a very efficient option when compared to Google Drive. Backup through sync and effective file transfer helps the process
efficiently. Google Drive requires a third party software to perform auto-sync, which costs extra. Easy to share as multiple users can access the account through their logins. In Google, drive sharing takes place through link share, which makes the process tenuous for the primary user. Cloud sharing is much secured compared to other companies. Overall, more customization and flexibility in use give Dropbox Business an edge over Google Drive.
