Overall Satisfaction with Google Cloud SQL

We use Google Cloud SQL with Mysql Engine as the primary Database for storing Application Data. Our compute engine are connected to the SQL Cloud. We also use it to store the summarised data for MIS & Reporting.
  • Handle Transactions
  • MIS & Reporting
  • Maintain Structured Datasets
  • Better Control over ACL
  • Add replication factor to have a Readonly Reporting DB
  • Increase in productivity as it is super easy to use
  • Super scalable, low latency
  • Reliable
- AWS RDS and Aurora is a just a notch above Google Cloud SQL as it provide boost in performance when required
- Google Cloud SQL Mysql Engine is Cloud based and better than native Mysql as it provides management of the server out of box
- Compared to a MongoDB it has a low learning curve and faster to take applications from MVP to Production
