Overall Satisfaction with Greenhouse

Our talent acquisition team primarily uses Greenhouse to calibrate the hiring process so that every candidate is measured on the same parameters irrespective of any bias. One member of the hiring team is unable to see the feedback of the other members, thus making sure that the existing feedback doesn't cloud one's judgement. Each interview has a specific objective and a corresponding scorecard to assess the candidate, which makes sure that the hiring manager is making the assessment for different candidates on the same performance metrics. The final hiring decision is made after collating the feedback of the entire hiring panel, making the process more unbiased and fair for the candidates.
  • Candidate scoring and assessment occurs within the system and one needs to submit the evaluation within 24 hours of the interview.
  • Greenhouse comes with a scheduling tool, which helps the recruitment team coordinate with the candidate for the time slots in accordance with the hiring panel availability.
  • Greenhouse provides complete control and flexibility to customize the recruitment process for different roles and positions and also integrate existing solutions like Google Meet and Zoom for video interviews, which is imperative in current pandemic times.
  • There is no way to configure different access for different users
  • Scheduling functionality has bugs, and very often one needs to go directly to Outlook or Google Calendar for scheduling interviews
  • Pricing is on the higher side, which can prove very expensive for smaller companies
  • With the stipulation of providing the interview feedback within a given timeline, feedback is received pronto and recruiters can move ahead with the next rounds faster
  • The referral hires ratio has increased, which mean less cost to the company and more engaged employees
  • Overall turnaround time for the entire recruitment process has drastically reduced, leading to lesser requirement of bench translating to huge savings.

Do you think Greenhouse delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Greenhouse's feature set?

Yes

Did Greenhouse live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Greenhouse go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Greenhouse again?

Yes

Greenhouse is a great tool for applicant tracking and structuring interviews, though the interface looks a bit clunky. Different stakeholders in the hiring process are able to collaborate during the entire process via Greenhouse and also makes the hiring more streamlined by providing interview toolkits to the interviewer, which has everything available at a single place to conduct the interview. Also the interviewer can mention certain comments which can be visible to the other interviewers.

  • Adding and tracking referrals for open roles
  • Sharing open roles on social media by connecting greenhouse to LinkedIn, Twitter directly
  • Also, filling out candidate scorecards and the function that one can't see other's feedback which helps in removing unconscious bias
  • Integrations with existing systems was not so seamless and Microsoft teams calendar was not syncing properly
