Gusto, a Good Cloud-based HR Alternative
Overall Satisfaction with Gusto
We began using Gusto quite recently, and were pleased to find that they had done a lot of the forward thinking required to help team members join a company, have the necessary forms and payroll tie-ins taken care of, and track time off requests. Our company is using it for all of our team members and it has helped us bring the HR functions into one.
Pros
- Good personable support
- Developers help with custom forms by creating them when submitted
- Time off request functionality is nice
Cons
- There isn't an option to tie into an Office 365 shared leave request/vacation calendar
- It would be nice if there were more pre-configured templates available for certain forms
- Tie-ins to accounting systems such as QuickBooks or Xero could be expanded
- Time saved with new team member onboards
- Administrative overhead time saved dealing with time off requests
- Much more cost effective than larger solutions like ADT
More cost effective than ADP and comparable with Intuit Payroll. Integration with Intuit is OK and for an accounting package like Xero, it's necessary to have Gusto because it doesn't have one built in or available from the same producer like Quickbooks does. Web-based interface is secure-able with two-factor authentication and user interface is good.
