Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Block Storage

IBM Cloud Block Storage is being used by a department to store the telemetry data from many devices. Since the telemetry data is produced at a fast pace, it requires good performance and high IOPS for the storage. IBM Cloud Block Storage offers the capability to customize IOPS on the fly, that makes it a good choice.

  • High availability
  • Data encryption
  • Mounting the volume is a bit complex.
  • IOPS provisioning
  • Scale the storage when needed to get better performance.
  • Taking snapshot so we can do easy recovery if necessary.
  • We can choose different locations so they are closer to our consumers.

As it is raw storage like hard disks, which means it can be used by both virtual machines and containers. The data encryption feature also ensures the security of the stored data.
