Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Object Storage

It is currently being used by the whole organisation to backup data from Office 365 to address the compliance and security issues around Office 365 data. We currently utilise Veeam to facilitate the backups and IBM Cloud Object Storage to store the encrypted data from Exchange Online, Sharepoint and OneDrive for Business.

  • Haven't found any yet.
  • Very positive so far as my Investment is currently £0.
  • Feature set for monitoring could be expanded to be able to integrate with PSA/RMM & SIEM
We don’t currently use this feature and so aren’t able to comment.
Extremely quick data transfers and can be used with the Veeam Cloud connector that allows for WAN acceleration.
Definitely, for backups we have a very competitive solution based on this.
AWS and Azure are both very costly solutions in comparison and give a lot less ROI than IBM, although IBM has a more feature rich and a better user experience than both of the others.
  • Veeam on IBM Cloud
Again, the impact has been huge, we are currently re-selling this out to our clients after an in-house trial that really set IBM apart from the competition.
Both Office 365 backups and Infrastructure network backups fit well with the aid of Veeam, it is also usable as a public storage location creating a public cloud for your data, in a safe, secure, encrypted environment.
Private cloud capabilities are massively increased based on the object storage and IBM have extremely competitive data rates.

IBM Cloud Support and Implementation

The implementation that we used went great, was extremely easy to do and the integrations with Veeam and other providers seem to work first time with no issues getting our data into the cloud.
Basic (free) - At present we are utilising the free storage space to build the foundations of our in-house solution, this will then be upgraded to onboard clients into the product.
We utilise the IBM cloud security platform which is very comprehensive and secure.
  • Central Documentation and Learning Hub
  • IBM Cloud Docs
  • Ability to check uptime status for IBM Cloud products
  • IBM Cloud product demos and tutorial videos
They have all helped immensely with our inception, creation, deployment and ultimately our new cloud production environment.
The documentation provided is so good that it is rare you will need to engage with their support professional, however, if things don’t quite fit, they are on hand and ready to help with any and all challenges faced.
