Insightly Review — An Invaluable Tool
Overall Satisfaction with Insightly
We use Insightly to manage all levels of the book publishing process. It helpfully compiles information across various departments (sales, media, etc) and presents them in an easily accessible format. I use Insightly primarily to catalog media appearances that I secure for authors, and to look at upcoming events they have so I can promote them. Insightly also creates reports that I can show to my superiors to demonstrate my success and area for improvement. Some occasional lag is the only issue I have with Insightly.
Pros
- Allows me to easily catalog results that I obtain for each project.
- Allows me to create easiy-readable reports that I can show to my superiors.
- Allows my company to see progress via various charts and graphs for each book season — encouraging comparison with previous seasons.
Cons
- The interface is sometimes laggy to navigate.
- The log-in process requires one too many clicks.
- There is sometimes a delay when adding data to reports.
- Insightly has allowed us to clearly view sales progress on each of our book seasons and adapt accordingly.
- Insightly allows me to compile lots of media contacts and record who has followed through with our review/interview requests.
- We've been able to use Insightly across all departments of our business to achieve goals and communicate issues — everything's interconnected.
Everything is interconnected across Insightly, allowing our small team to work together and communicate successes/failures with minimal hassle.
