Overall Satisfaction with Intacct

We are using Intacct purely as a GL system. The only users are the Controller, Staff Accountant, and Accounting Assistant. We don't run billing out of Intacct or even use the reporting functions. In simple form we use it to pay bills and to collect customer payments. I am looking to enable more features within Intacct like Collaborate
  • The cloud based system allows updated information to be accessed across the department
  • Zero downtime since I have been using the product
  • setup of items/accounts too confusing - there are items, item groups, accounts account groups, etc. So if you go to change one thing there is a huge chain reaction
  • Reporting isn't meant to be exported to excel. You can do it, but the formatting is horrible and you cant use
  • Customer service is poort - unless you pay extra, you can only submit cases online, and there is usually a LOT of back and forth and takes a lot of time to resolve
  • We haven't spent the man hours to implement new functionality correctly. there is a lot to learn and you have to be motivated
QB - honestly has so many more functions that Intacct doesn't have. QB is easier to use, easier to customize and the reporting is better
NetSuite - Much more fully functional and easier to use.
Honestly if you can stay on QuickBooks, then do. If you truly truly have outgrown QB, then look to Intacct
