Overall Satisfaction with IntelliJ IDEA
IntelliJ IDEA is being used by our software team when developing our Java applications. This is by far the best Java IDE I have come across. It is incredibly intuitive, very customizable and a huge step up from Eclipse.
- Integrates well with Maven
- Autocomplete is immensely intuitive
- Automatically generates boilerplate code
- Immense amount of shortcuts
- Very good at understanding the nature of Java programs, jumping well from place to place
- Some upgrades don't work well for me
- Memory intensive
- Not as many plugins as Eclipse
- The way it functions saves developers a great deal of time developing code.
