Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We utilize Linode to power dozens of university websites, including some higher profile ones.

  • Ability to customize packages

Overall they go above and beyond in helping out where they can. The only issue we have had with them is with regard to spam containing links to websites we host. These emails are not sent by our server, yet when the issue has been communicated with us we are treated as if we are in the wrong instead of spammers utilizing our high-profile status to make their emails look legitimate. We usually have to go back and forth with them in order to resolve the non-issue.
We are able to have a known monthly cost that is easy to understand.
Almost no downtime, and in the cases where there is, they have quickly been able to resolve the issue.
If you are looking for a more traditional VPS, then they provide a great service.
