The service has been reliable, and bordering on proactive instead of reactive. In a few cases support was needed, it was timely and effective. Stress free, which is what I am really after.

Updating this a few years later, the only thing to add, is that we have never had reason to contact them in that time. A few things like emergency fixes, upgrades.. were automatically handled, and we were informed well in time, with enough detail.

I've had to contact support maybe three times in 12 years and always had a response from someone who actually understood the problem I was explaining and had the knowledge to help resolve it. Not once did I get a minimum-wage support "technician" who was just reading down a scripted list of questions.

Their support is fast. As mentioned before, a little bit extended support would be nice. There is a support forum, but topics often get no replies. A simple "we can't offer support for questions like these" would help a lot already, so you can move on and find help elsewhere.

In fact, I've needed customer support in rare occasions. In those cases, service was pretty fast and adequate. I love when I get notified something is wrong at 3:00 am and by 3:30 am it was resolved with no notice by me or my customers.
I think it depends of your skills maintaining and configuring linux servers. Luckily, we can fix most issues by ourselves.

There have been very few times we had required the support. Most of them were spam or malicious code injection incidents which when notified helped us to resolve the issues. But the effort and concern the support personnel had during such times are really appreciated. We were given enough turn around time to fix the issues and revert. The fantastic KB has made it really possible to learn almost anything required to manage the instances without getting to reach the support team. And at times when we needed assistance, we almost had it within short time. We have also been assisted at times for very generic questions related to managing the instances, even though we hadn’t opted for Manages Services plan.

Linode offered fast and helpful support when we’ve needed it (which is usually pretty rare because Linode is reliable). Even when they couldn’t directly solve the problem, they pointed me in the right places to diagnose, which is what you what with an unmanaged solution. They also try to keep their help guides up to date. Good documentation is essential to a good user experience.

The three times I have had to use them they have been shining stars for Linode and the service they provide. They were not able to help with one of my requests. I managed to recover what I needed after an unsuccessful upgrade, but they did suggest a few ways to do it that, while ultimately they did not work, were helpful for future diagnosis. Their support staff - at no extra charge - is another positive for Linode.

I haven't needed support many times, but every time I had support, the response has been quick and good.

They create automated support tickets for planned maintenance that will affect you and this has worked out very well for us. We never had to intervenen in any of these circumstances.

Although there is no account manager for the plans I use, the Linode team is very proactive, amazingly responsive, and supportive of all kinds of issues that I have ever had when using, setting up our managing my nodes over there.

They are proactive in so many different ways that I not only feel comfortable using their service, but I am happily recommending them to others.

At least 3 of my clients have adopter Linode after my recommendation.

I have no complaints about Linode's customer support. They consistently tell me about problems before I even notice them. They are always prompt and responsive whenever I have an issue I need to deal with, which is rarely. On the few occasions that I needed to get in touch with a human, they have been courteous, prompt, and accurate with their assistance.

In the last 14 years I only had to contact support on a couple occasions and each time they responded quickly and the issue was resolved quickly. This is one of the reasons that kept me with Linode, I know I can trust them to do what is right and when something goes wrong it is fixed quickly.

We've been fortunate not to encounter significant service issues with Linode, so we haven't had the need to utilize human support thus far. One notable aspect that sets Linode apart is its transparent and straightforward billing system. Unlike some other providers where customers often face confusion regarding unexpected charges, Linode offers Virtual Machine pricing structured in fixed slabs with reasonable tiers and pricing ranges.This approach has greatly minimized billing-related issues for us. With clear and predictable pricing, we have a solid understanding of the costs associated with our usage, eliminating surprises and unnecessary complexities. Overall, Linode's transparent billing structure aligns well with its commitment to providing a hassle-free experience for its customers, reinforcing our confidence in the reliability and fairness of the service.

Whenever I have needed them, they have responded quickly via email. I have not had any issues so great that I have needed to call them - the best support is a system that does not require a support call! In addition, their web documentation covers most things you might want to know.

I've only logged a few tickets over the years, and nearly always had a good experience. Bugs logged against their control panel do get fixed, their support teams are knowledgeable, and if the answer is "No" or "Can't be done" they're upfront and just say so rather than rambling.

I don't dislike dealing with their support team, which is high praise. :)

One great thing about Linode is that I haven't had to use support very often. When I have needed to use Linode support, it's been for pretty obscure IT issues. They have always stepped up when they are capable, or have been honest when it's a problem that's beyond all of us. I appreciate that, and I know I can count on them to provide honest help.

One of the biggest reasons to move to Linode is the customer service. AWS forces you to pay to even shoot an email with a quick question, but Linode's customer support is top notch. Linode is reliable and easy to use, so I haven't needed to contact them very often - but the few times I have had to get in touch with them, they were super responsive, friendly and knowledgeable.
