Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

Lucidchart is simple to use, easy to collaborate with coworkers, has a ton of built-in diagram components, and has a supportive community around it complete with webinars from highly entertaining and engaging presenters. There is minimal training needed to "get it". On the other hand, users on my team sometimes get confused about the difference between zooming in and resizing a shape - so we sometimes have shapes that are very large compared to others, when it would have been better to just zoom in instead.
We started using LucidChart after switching from another visual collaboration tool. The import process worked surprisingly well - way better than anyone on our team was expecting. Lucidchart itself is simple to use, easy to collaborate with coworkers, has a ton of built-in diagram components, and has a supportive community around it complete with webinars from highly entertaining and engaging presenters. Collaborating on concepts across multiple disciplines is incredibly easy, especially with everyone at the company having licenses. Our team has been able to create wireframes without special tool training and has shown them to many users in research studies.
  • Collaborating with coworkers
  • Extensive built-in shape library with ability to customize
  • Highly customizable and responsive with features like conditional formatting
  • Integration with data sources like .csv
  • Integration with Office products
  • Better performance for larger diagrams
  • Data linking and formulas can be buggy/need to be re-created sometimes
  • improved productivity
  • driving alignment
  • no training required to get started
Our office uses Office 365 tools (not google) so the integration with excel is pretty weak. Documents need to be constantly uploaded to Lucidchart to maintain sync status, unlike google docs. Integration with Azure DevOps is also not impressive. Tasks can be brought in and linked, but that's about it. The interface to locate a task is clunky and difficult to use - especially if there are multiple tasks being brought in.
I've posted a couple questions on the forums. My questions were answered in a reasonable amount of time and the support I received answered my questions accurately and concisely. I wish there was a faster way to get support, and I wish there was more advanced training courses. I haven't contacted them via email or phone before.

For our team, anytime we need to collaborate on complicated topics we will use Lucidchart. For example, on the current project we use Lucidchart as a hub with many tabs to capture all relevant information, such as design specs, research from users, and a running list of the features and capabilities that we plan to add/build. This central document ensures that everyone on the team has the same and updated information, in addition to easily being able to onboard new team members and present status to managers.
