Lucidworks Fusion is used to power search applications for our Wealth Management division. It helps employees search for corporate content as well as client profiles.

  • Business Rules feature for tuning search results
  • Query pipeline design gives great flexibility in application development
  • Documentation can be improved
  • Quick to market. Less effort and time needed for tuning search relevancy.
  • Efficiently handles high volume search request traffic.
IDOL seems to be a blackbox solution. Fusion is much more flexible with more features and options for developers to choose from.
Lucidworks support team promptly answers any question regarding product and features.

Lucidworks Fusion is best suited for information retrieval applications to search structured or unstructured data. It offers variety of features to help users find contents they are looking for. For Chatbot like applications, Fusion can be used for powering the backend search, but dialog manager is not supported by this product.
