Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting

We are a non-profit administering mostly government grants. We use it for tracking payroll and other expenses, and creating invoices to expend grant funding and financial reports for our board of directors.
  • Financial Reports
  • General Ledger Accounting
  • Decent user support
  • HR Module - need to format more timesheets for hourly employees to enter actual ins and outs as California law is now requiring this.
  • More intuitive menus
  • Easier ways to correct errors
  • Consistent with our historical data since we have been using it for so long
  • Helps with detailing information for audit purposes
It's okay. I get frustrated with with some of its limitations.
There aren't a lot of other options for a non-profit with government funding.

We use MIP because we have used it for a long time and it is tailored for non-profits. However, the main accounting product is based on old technology and the add on modules are limited in how they work due them having to interact with old technology. I wish for a way to streamline how MIP functions that isn't based on old non-intuitive technology.
