Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Monetate for our A/B/n Testing Platform and a rapid merchandising tool. We are using it primarily in our Marketing and Merchandising teams.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Monetate is extremely powerful while minimizing it's impact on site performance.
Monetate enables non-technical people to intelligently merchandise their sites.
Monetate was wildly simple to implement and their staff has been very helpful

Cons

Their backend could use some improvements. Juggling 15-20 tests makes finding and editing campaigns difficult.
Their reporting seems a bit too basic
Their support platforms are a bit expensive and are a little light on guidance

I feel like this is a system meant to be managed by one person. It's hard enough to understand and find campaigns you have setup that the idea of someone else administrating the site would be a nightmare.

Alternatives Considered

Monetate offered the greatest feature set at a great price. I was also very impressed with their drive to develop an amazing suite of tools.
