Monetate also enables the teams to make quick changes to the site and avoid the time consuming ordeal of submitting tickets to developers and waiting for response and resolution.,The UI is intuitive. With very little training team members start using the tools. It is versatile - a testing, targeting, a second CMS, and recommendation engine which can be used virtually anywhere on the site. It is light. Integration is fast and does not slow down site speed. We even use Monetate to test certain 3P functionality, integrating through Monetate and testing the application to validate impact on site KPI rather than just integrating the 3P directly into the platform. Client Services team very proactive in helping our team identify opportunities and get quick results. I am consistently surprised how the team turns to Monetate as quasi CMS.,We have only scratched the surface of using first and third party data for targeting. Creating campaigns as CMS overrides is almost too easy.,We still have not integrated our CRM data into Monetate.,9Monetate is a great tool for outside of the box web-thinkingWe utilize the power of the Monetate platform to add/remove elements on our web site in a quick and easy fashion and leverage the testing capabilities to A/B test site changes globally before rolling them out "officially".,The ease of setting up actions to add new content or remove existing content from the web site is very streamlined and even non-coders on our team can do so with ease and little difficulty. With the power of A/B testing on virtually anything we post to the site with Monetate we can gauge user response and acceptance and target the "better" CTR on specific designs. This expedites the creation of future designs as we know what works--and what doesn't. Running concurrent campaigns throughout the site is simple as you can easily pause and edit anything running on the site with little interruption to the flow of the existing site.,The action builder interface has come a long way, but there are times when it feels intrusive. The top nav bar that is shown should be resizable to the user specifications... not on the standard sizes that Monetate dictates. Sharing tests with others is quite easy, however, a test should be made available to "test" automatically rather than having to build a specific link. Users should be able to set a target location and allow others to see it as part ot the set up process and that "share link" should be automatically generated upon "completion" of building a campaign. When replacing content on site using Monetate, there is a flash/flicker of the original content which can be seen by anyone. Not desirable but not the worst either.,9,Conversion Improved engagement/site design AOV,,10Monetate was a revelation to our company.Monetate is able to pull geographical data, and drill down to send the right message to our customers. For example,the tool helped us segment so that we could send banners ads based on IP Address. Since we were product driven, we would send ads with jackets, winter hats, etc to cold weather areas and the reverse to the other side.,I liked it and never had any issues.,9,We found that 90% of tests we ran were successful. For the 10% that were not successful, we saved 10% of our project dollars because we did not need to hard code just to see it didn't work.,100,It is used to do A/B Testing on all of our websites. I would test things like cart optimization, banner ads, product overlays, etc. For example we tested on a Diecast for NASCAR having an overlay that said "Autographed" versus the other half just finding out based on the product title. They are extremely receptive and responsive to feedback though.,10,We've had some very successful tests. Once we know that, we can use it to identify what their intent is. Personalization is a term being thrown around a lot all over the Internet, but it is really being put to use by Monetate. We can change many things on our sites based on who our customer is, or what they are interested in. I currently use Monetate on most of our web properties, and plan on expanding. Being able to personalize the sites has helped us differentiate our sites from each other, although we still have a long way to go.,I have really enjoyed finding out who our customer is by using Live Audience. To me, it is the closest thing to the Marketing Holy Grail that I have seen. Knowing that much information about our customers is going to be invaluable. The analytical aspect of the Test Lab has helped us make improvements across our organization. The ability to show conversion rates, revenue increases and Add to Cart rates have helped us move the needle on change. I have been impressed with the communication from Monetate. Our Client Success team is always available for questions and help. Many times contacting vendors can be very hard, but Monetate understands what we are trying to do, and knows that sometimes time is an issue. They are always eager to help, and never rude or complaining.,I would love to see more detailed analytics. They are releasing some new analytics in the future, so this may not be relevant for long.,9,Monetate has made us much more agile. We can respond to trends, new promotions and customers much faster than we used to. One negative is that Monetate has become the go to tool when something needs done on the site. Sometimes it isn't done to test anything, but just to fix something or to put something out on the website.,,9,8Great Solution for Marketers and Experience OptimizersMonetate is used within our company as a solution for both marketing and our User Experience department. It's being used for merchandising solutions on the site by marketing, in particular to build out relevant promotions to customers and easily manage the those promotions, as well as to automate a lot of processes that used to be done manually - so it reduces work load tremendously. For User Experience, we use it to build out different experiences to test on the site to build out an optimized experience specific to the user case.,Very easy to build out "actions." Compared to previous tools we've used, Monetate is very user-friendly, especially in that it doesn't require actually going into the code and inserting anything - Monetate does it via DOM manipulation, etc. Great geotargeting of merchandising. We do a lot of business internationally, and the products bought there are quite different depending on location - so Monetate's ability to build out recommendations or other merchandising modules that bring up products specific to behavior of others in the geolocation is fantastic. Very easy to target design changes to mobile. We are segmenting out mobile optimization as a specific action item and being able to target experiences solely for users based on device is a requirement, which monetate does very well.,Would like to see better segmentation within the reporting section by default. When you build a report and then run it, you can have segmentation - but not within the basic reports that are built in to the system. As easy as it is to build actions, there are a few solutions that are even easier (with drag and drop functionality, etc.) Would love to see further improvements.,8,Reduced marketing merchandising man-hours. We use Monetate to run marketing campaigns within our site as well as A/B tests on different graphic elements and new HTML/CSS markup. Monetate allows us to make updates instantly to the site without having to put our new content into an IT Release.,As Creative Manager of the Design team, Monetate gives us an enormous amount of flexibility in the way we execute different/new marketing campaigns. As designers, the new ActionBuilder tool allows us to add new content, show/hide markup and adjust live content by creating our own actions within Monetate. Prior to this tool there was a 2 week turnaround for new actions for us to use. With ActionBuilder, we can create actions as fast as we can conceptualize them. Monetate also gives us another option in band-aiding any live site issues that may arise. Rather than waiting for updates to go through our normal production cycle, we can instantly create an action and post the updated content live in a matter of minutes, not hours or days.,One flaw I can see with Monetate is the level of security that is involved. Hypothetically anyone with a login can post anything they'd like on the live site without warning. I understand this will change based on the company and who is allowed to access it, but it is something that has always made me nervous regarding Monetate.,9,Just a little, simple thing such as placing badges on product pages that call out unique aspects or offers gave us such a lift in conversion and click-through. We have run homepage A/B tests that produced significant data letting our team know more specifically how our users preferred to shop our promotions.,10Good product, but delay on loadCurrently being utilized to show promotion banners across our site. We also use it to swap creative content based on where a visitor is visiting from (eg. countries),Easy to set up campaigns ( setting up creative, linking, etc) Does a fairy good job of targeting div class or id class to swap out content,There is a delay on the swapping of content. Overall I found Monetate to be a very powerful tool. It was able to help us answer questions like "What offer will be the strongest this holiday?", "Is it worth it to 'call-out' new products with a highlighted message?" and "Will we improve KPI metrics on our homepage if we try different types of marketing placements?". I would highly recommend this tool to anyone who is looking to try and test and improve the experiences of their customers shopping on their website.

Great software + good Monetate team both on client services, and within sales department. The Monetate user conference was also helpful to understand how other clients are using software - plus, best practice. The software is more expensive than basic packages (such as Visual Website Optimizer) and provides a more full service experience, which probably applies better to mid-size companies. For start-ups with the tech resources already available, would recommend using more basic package than full service experience.

It's doing everything we need from it, and the support has been great as well. Really like the team I'm working with at Monetate. Plus, we've just implemented it and came from a previous implementation from a competitor. As easy as implementation is, I don't really want to go through the process again right away unless necessary.

I had never worked within a company that had a tool like this. It made my life as a designer and a creative manager much easier with it's easy to use interface and limitless possibilities in terms of creative. I would highly recommend taking Monetate for a test drive, you will not be disappointed.
