Overall Satisfaction with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

We use it as the backbone of our organization and our central ERP system. It is our system of record and responsible for the tracking sales, financials, manufacturing data and most other critical aspects of our business. Every department within our organization uses JD Edwards. It addresses almost all of our core business problems in terms of fulfilling customer orders in a timely fashion.
  • Manufacturing Systems and Support - The core functionalities for managing manufacturing are all there and easy to use.
  • Financials - The financial systems have stood the test of time and are very stable and reliable.
  • Cutting Edge - JD Edwards continues to be enhanced and developed with new tools and technologies.
  • Quality/Test Results Management system is lightweight and somewhat clunky.
  • My Oracle Support Tool for getting help from Oracle is clunky.
  • Upgrade process is not always smooth.
  • Accurate data has positive impact on ROI
  • Timely information has a positive impact on ROI
  • Ability to communicate information across organization has a positive impact on ROI
Manufacturing companies will find JD Edwards to be an excellent solution especially those doing discrete manufacturing. JD Edwards does have some weaknesses from a customer relationship management standpoint. JD Edwards will handle most business models and is extremely flexible in its implementation as well as the ability to customize the system to meet specific business needs.
