Overall Satisfaction with Paycor
We use Paycor for our bi-weekly payroll, and have recently purchased the Perform HR module. Paycor allows us to produce reports that inform decisions by our C-Suite. We are using Paycor for document distribution as well, taking advantage of their electronic document acknowledgement capability. Our favorite feature in Perform HR is the automatic email reminders of expiring documents.
Pros
- Document control. We can require electronic signature acknowledgement of documents, and track employee response rates.
- ACA compliance. Paycor has reports that make it easier to comply with this complicated law.
- Custom Reports. Paycor makes it easy to create our own reports, either from scratch or beginning with a Standard Template.
Cons
- Paycor's Custom Reports can be a bit difficult to navigate, and not the most user-friendly. However, they have abundant online help and awesome customer service!
- The module design of Paycor's software can make it difficult to populate the reports we need. For instance, our CEO wants a Total Compensation Report for each employee, and Paycor has an impressive one. We purchased the Perform HR module, but we still can't fully populate the report without purchasing the Perform Benefits module. We are not planning to do that, so we're constructing the report ourselves. Lots of extra work.
- We sometimes experience a lag time between data entry and when the data is available for reporting. We have been told that the report servers are separate and sometime take a while to populate. It sometimes costs us time as we have to double-check if the data entered "took" before we can produce reports.
- Increased efficiency in our HR department of 2.
- Freed up time for the HR Manager to focus on more strategic and compliance-related projects.
- Paycor's reports have aided the HR Manager in ensuring compliance with Employment laws.
Our HR and/or payroll team has saved time, but I'm not sure how much. - We have realized our time savings because we are able to spend time on more projects than we have in the past. Projects such as I-9 audits, internal HR file audits, creating HR procedures, and many others.
Before Paycor, our agency had used ADP. We switched to Paycor for the cost savings, and have stayed for the product quality and customer service.
